Did you hear from that guy from Detroit about your boat?
I guess I read your boat was for sale on another site and thought that some guy from Detroit was interested,,, Thought it was the same guy I told to buy a 34 if he was going to run around on Lake Erie... Maybe I was wrong?

I got a 86 scarab panther with trs drives and 2 502's..... Can't seem to find the right props to get going... Just blows out and over revs the engines ... Anybody have a clue?
Just put it in the water tonight for the first time. Everything checked out OK, transmission, drive, engine maintained 180/190 degrees throughout some serious flogging. Now its time to get busy on rebuilding the seat bottoms and getting the interior back together.
I used a 454 that I already had. Not sure how much hp its pushing but seriously doubt if its over 350-375. I knew it ran and in the interest of not spending too much right now went ahead and put it in. I'll build something stronger for it over the winter cause I can already see its begging for another couple hundred HP.
I need a better set of exhaust manifolds immediately if anyone has some laying around.

You should ask this question in the props forum, you'll get some responses from the prop manufacturers.

Need help ... Have a 86 scarab panther with 2 502's with trs drives..... Can't figure out what props to use to stop the engines from over revving..... Any clue
What size props are you running now??
Great to see that Scarab back on the water so quick!
Looks very good!
Have try soooo many now running 26 4 blades tried 32 4 blades same problem.
What HP are you running, what speed (GPS) and what are the RPM's that is to much? You need to give a little bit more info if you want some answers. I was spinning 25's around 5100RPMs a little over 71mph. If you are over revving 32's are you sure your trannies aren't slipping?? I had that problem, rebuild time. Also with my 25's I had to add cupping to get mine to stop blowing out.
off topic, but - good to see you here, rookie

Finally have a photo to post. That shot was taken at Lake Murray, SC at their Poker Run.
