Cool Sax Man...still working on boats..ran w/Jarvis Cat Can Do for a while
Saxman changed his name to Coolerman. I think it had something to do with hiding from cougars or such, not the inter-coolers they are making....
Still don't see any hidden Black Thunders for sale.... Just sayin. Lol
I know where one has been sitting for a while........ :beatdeadhorse5:
Mine has been sitting on go for a while waiting for it to warm up. Sorry but Black Thunders arent like Fountians theres not one in every backyard to be had cheap. Theres maybe 100 BTs or so out there not 10,000. Good luck on your search.
Is it safe to say that the highest concentration of these boats are in the loto area?
Saw a newly listed one on OSO yesterday
or at least it popped up when I search for new listings...

That makes no sense to me either. The Bulldog was a 540 cu in 470 propshaft HP Merc. Great motor, that's what our BT came with originally. Awesome platform to build up from. May be one of the best Merc has ever developed. They were originally designed by Merc for the Aronow military cats to military specs from what I've been told. They were a 540 cu in tall deck GM 10.2" deck with 4.44 bore and 4.375 stroke. It was a siamesed block that could go out to 4.560 with no issues. They came with a Lunati crank, Manley rods, Weisco pistons and a Dart intake. A great motor they should still offer.....
My hunch is these are 540 Bulldogs that may have been punched out to 555??? What would worry me is what else is unknown....
