Found out from a good source. The name of the boat was Flap Jack. Supposedly one of the lightest 41's ever made. Im preatty sure Quam didnt own it by then. The boat was dissapeared assumed distroyed. When this happened the paint job had been changed and it wasnt being raced under Flap Jack anymore, I dont know What it was called when it broke yet.
Rich Cipullo, George Morales and Bob Idoni picking up another checkered flag, with this boat on its way to what would become its 3rd consecutive world Champion ship!! 46' triple engine boat. Old school racing!!:)
Just read this whole tread, lots of great info and pics!!!
Looks like your right
Was watching battle of the seas 2 and was impressed with Warrior. At the start of the race, i believe in AC, they just took off and out accelerated everyone including predator and lethal weapon. Does anyone know their setup back then. We are setting our boat to accelerate hard, thanks
Dr G
Frank, you are correct, D class, they were all running around 800 hp at the time with a max of 550 cubic inches, high compression. I was impressed how Warrior ran, i believe that is now island racer. Correct me if im wrong
Warrior became Chill Out Warrior, then Island Racer I think. The "Warrior" graphic is exactly the same between the two with the difference being Chill Out on one from what I remember. I could be wrong, it's been a while seen I saw the vids.
I hear ya Garry, I too thought they were running really strong thru that chop!!
I really liked the head/head battle in the atlantic city race with Predator... The camera angle with the sun light was a little rough but they were going head/head for quite some time!
Just watched the start again, it was in AC, it doesnt look incredibly rough. Island runner, lethal weapon, predator all running bout the same. Warrior took off like a bat out of hell
I am so looking forward to AC this year. Bring on the big stuff
Not sure, will have to watch again
Yeah, that is what i figured. Anyone know the setup he was running, drives, gears, props, rpms, etc
