The notch transom? To allow them to raise the X dimension?:seeya:

Loren isn't the type of guy to do anything lightly, everything was kept if he decided to return it back original. Heck, its fiberglass, no different that one that was hurt in a wreck or had a hull split...;)
I would own any boat that was his,no questions asked, than some of the others listed in classifieds.
Not trying to be a jerk...just an old school purist. Do that to a Baja, not an Apache....
Puts a little air under the ass. makes it fastah kinda like a step.
any knotch will allow you to run a higher X without blow-out and sorta acts as an extension box. but is also shortens the running surface at the same time.
Bobby had explained to me a while back his reason for not putting a knotch on my boat.
Curious to know why they did it Lucy.
Lucy is kicking you boy's a$$es on Apache trivia tonight.
And with all due respect to Lorne and his accomplishments, I cringe when I see that thing. Aside from that, I couldn't imagine riding up there at 60+ mph. Below 60, that Apache lope would beat you up pretty quickly. So it's usable at just above plane.
Chris I am better behind the wheel!:biggrinjester:
Personally I like the more radical one which seems to have run better but I am sure that I will hear about this one from some of the latter Apache fans!!!!
Lucy, what's the deal on the exhaust above the transom rub-rail? Looks a little bit more bad-azz in my opinion!!!
Well, I was kinda close on the transom angle dangle.... :)
yes you were very close!! it is the angle of the dangle versus the torque of the dork! :)
Nice!
Probably has more of both than you will ever hope to have!:seeya:
Plus he has everything to put it back together.
With all he has done for Apaches he can do whatever he wants.
Anyone who makes a comment like that about him obviously isnt a 'purist'. Smart ass sounds more like it.
Sorry for the hijack.
I don't care what you have or don't; bowrider Apache is just plain wrong IMHO but it's his boat and obviously he can and did what he wanted with it.
