The operation of this place takes a lot of work by a lot of people.

But sometimes some people go above and beyond. Behind the scenes Paul Rose spends hundreds of hours a month to make sure SOS provides us all with the enjoyment we all get out of being here.

To wave the flag he took it upon himself to actually step away from the computor and personally participate in "The Love of The Sport'
He went and got all the requisit safety accreditations and went racing.

First time in a Bat Boat and our friend goes racing!!

Takes huge balls and for that he and his dear wife that went along with it all should be congratulated.
He has told me that he didnt do it without a lot of help from some good folks that made sure he was safe and got as much enjoyment out of it as possible, so on behalf of all of us at SOS we thank you for making sure he came back in one piece to tell us all about the experience.

This is what this place is all about, comraderie and teamwork.

In that vein , when I asked our great friend Jeff from Freeze Frame to put something together for me, I had it on my computor immediately.

Tell me the picture following this post doesnt say it all for Pauls 100% effort.

Thank you Paul for waving our flag.

SERIOUSLY OUR HERO

Ditto to all of the above. In addition, he is just an all round good guy who I had the pleasure of meeting in Key West last year. Way to go, Paul !! We really do appreciate what you are doing for our sport.

Paul is the man. He, in conjunction with Nick, Craig, Ted and Alec, drive a big chunk of what goes on behind the scenes. The rest of the Board and all our admins do an amazing job- all on their own initiative.

I was telling people this over the weekend- the reason this board runs so cleanly is these guys. We've got two dozen guys working together to steer this ship and get things done.

I can't wait to tell you about some of the cool stuff they're working on.

I am sure Paul knows he was one of my main reasons for coming to Harrison Twp. Had I not spoke with him the Wednesday before the race I would have never been advised of the lack of Media being there. I could not see him going out to race his 1st raceever without a professional photographer being there.

So Paul, thanks for everything you have been doing here and convincing me enough to make the journey.

This one's for you !!!

Free of charge.

If you have trouble downloading the original file from the site let me know and I will walk you through it...

Cheers !!! :driving:

P.S.

It's not like me to break the over size rule but I assume it is ok if it's for you... ;) If you need me to downsize it, let me know. I will change out the link.

And yes, I can do type sets and /or graphics if needed, but only upon request.

I just remembered, the originals are not on the server because I was using low res files to upload as quickly as possible to get images onto SO.

Shoot me an email and I will get the orginal file loaded for you. Roughly around 5 to 6 Meg file 5400 x 3800 pixels..... :sifone:

Mikey did a great job on the commentary as well, and I appreciate everything he is also doing to promote the site.

There are a lot of thanks to go around for this;

Dean, Rick, Derek and families, couldn't have made us feel any more welcome or have helped put us at ease any more. Thanks for the driving lessons.

Jim, all the tips, introductions, assistance with the camera equipment, and of course, the margaritas.....

Jeff, the pictures, video, commentary, history lessons, everything, great.

Sharkey, the pics for the guys and myself, a long drive last minute to help get the info out.

Rob, George, Mikey, Jason, Ryan, Pete, Tammi, Isaiah, Martin, great times. Think Jim would have jumped the next night??????:sifone:

Of course all the great conversations with the other racers, Serious Members, other fans, everyone else, outstanding time.

And, the abuse, ribbing, pats on the back, jokes, conversations, and encouragment from everyone here, Thanks.....:sifone:

Can't wait to do it again. :)

I'll be back......:seeya: (Gotta figure out how to hang with Tyler and the SVL's though).

Anything at all I can do for those of you thinking about racing, let me know.
