It appears the filters are on top and the pumps are on the bottom...

Yes but both are way above the tanks. I have a set of those pumps and the manufacturer implicitly states they must be mounted below the bottom of the pick up tube. Obviously they are making it work so I am hoping to find out what their secret is. :sifone:

This is the first 1996. The First Turbine conversion was done in 2000
Bill Built it with Cobra1200,s then went to Turbines.
I built it with 1100,s then went back to Turbines.

Ross Fedorki really deserves the credit.
He also has all of the custom parts such as exhaust and bell housings
and intakes saved in Cad. He could duplicate these custom parts.

The reason why I make it look easy is because it is.;)
I assure you it is easier to rig Turbines then the gas counterparts:seeya:

knotright did a nice job..... but it was the old Myway turbine boat that ran away from everyone at the poker runs bill tomlison really did a huge amount of prototype stuff to get it right he kinda makes it look easy to install turbines well it is if its been done to the boat already!

so your saying because the boat had turbines once THAT ITS EASY TO REINSTALL THEM:smash::smash:, What knot right did was take a blank bilge that came with a bunch of parts on the side, them decides to put v8 blower motors in so he started from zero no instructions and designed the bilge to hold two big azz blower motors , custom drive shafts, motor mounts headers with tails ran it for a yr or so. then decided to go to TURBINES and has to look at a thousand parts with NO INSTRUCTIONS and pieces missing and outside over the winter figures out where to put motors starting backwards since it came with parts so the install is reverse from a regular install of motors. I would like to see you do this:smash:, GERRY AWESOME JOB just the wiring in that boat has to be miles long you have a lot of talent dude also in painting he had his hands in that too. you need to open a turbine shop/custom paint:sifone::sifone: ps theres a custom windshield going on this spring.

The reason why I make it look easy is because it is.;)
I assure you it is easier to rig Turbines then the gas counterparts:seeya:

don't be so modest, I have seen you fix stuff on boats so the ride would go on and if you were not there those few times the boats would have been towed back for the day instead of running. which in one case would of been better dead, it still hurts thinking of that ride back from block in that 32:eek::ack2:. gerry you make it look and sound easy.

Are the drives non-Mercury? If not why the different transom plates?

Anyone know how that is working out performance wise? Why did they go that route on a such a light boat? Gladiators are capable of triple digits on power a modified bravo can handle.

I am guessing the strut is because of the extra weight of the #5?

Kick azz dude! BTW, with the small pulley on the top do you have any issues with blower belt dust? Few years ago I changed pulleys around so now my top pulley is smaller and it's putting off a lot of blower belt dust and pisses me off cause the engine room gets dirty quick. :(

Thanks man!

Yes, I get a little bit of belt dust as well. It's a very slight amount, unless moisture somehow gets on it through the scoop, then it can make a mess. I always try to stay on top of wiping down the area after running it, since there's so much room in there. It really helps keep the belt dust, & oil vent drip from the dry sump canisters, from building up & looking all ghetto in there http://smiliesftw.com/x/cool.gif (http://smiliesftw.com)

Thanks, I try and do the same. Usually I can open up the hatch after a long run and everything looks spic and span but the moment you set foot in the bilge it's like anywhere you step you get black foot prints... Bothers the heck outta me... Let's just say there's lots of spray 9 on the boat!!!

I've tried replacing the belt a few times and that didn't help so this summer I'm going to reverse the idler pulley so the idler is on the outside of the belt pushing in, instead of the inside pushing out to see if that helps.

I know what you mean about your feet tracking dirt everywhere. I usually have a pair of ankle socks in the boat with my shoes, so I'll just wear them in there, and on the docks, which can be filthy as hell. If I don't have any socks, I'll slide around on a couple of Swipes or rags, which clean the floor and my feet. It works in a pinch.

Good luck with the switch on your idler pulley. Maybe it will at least throw the belt dust downward into the bilge, so you can flush it out easier with a hose & the bilge pump, rather than having to wipe EVERYTHING down after a hot day :ack2:.

They run the exhaust out the side on the Cintron Fountain because they're running the motors so close together (so harder to go out back) or to be more consistent in exhaust pipe lengths?

Another thing I've always wondered about, the impact on performance from running different length tails from bank to bank, but maybe the tube diameter is big enough that it doesn't matter?
