(Some of the new models actually have rudders for non-power steering, but not this model.)

I feel sorry for the guy. He's lucky he bailed.

That's the first rule of operating any piece of high-performance equipment- get it going as fast as you possibly can and then aim at a large, immovable object.

shouldn't have been riding that close to shore or docked boats. Not a sorry bone in my body for that idiot!

Awww, c'mon B, no ya don't...

The newest ones have a water brake there, to at least give Darwin some difficulty. Better a dock than another Ski, or a boat!

We watched a middle aged woman put her 15-year-old niece on one. The last thing she told her was "stay away from the bridge" that was right by the launch ramp. The first thing the girl did was buzz under the bridge at about 40mph. As she came back under, she hit something submerged and bounced into an oyster-covered abutment. It was really ugly.

Ya the new ones have "OPSA" Off Power Steering Asisst. They are little rudders on either side of the hull on the back that turn along with the jet nozzle. Makes it a little harder to spin out but helps SIGNIFICANTLY in sharp turns. Plus when you let off the gas, it'll still turn. B is right, the new sport models have brakes!
Now if we could just get them to install radar, collision avoidance systems, or driver testing maybe some of these morons wont screw it up for the rest of us

what a moron. our seadoo doesn't have the rudders on the side, and it is still pretty easy to maneuver around docks at low speed.

There was nothing "low speed" about that video, guy was running WFO then snapped off the throttle then tried to steer out......

When in doubt...gas it! That goes triple for PWCs!

Better make airbags/seat belts standard too!
