The Leopa Poker Run was this past Saturday on Lake Erie. Cold weather but some sun didn't stop us from tearing up the east end of the lake. The Cigarette crew was well represented with boats made for our choppy water. A special cut down Rough Rider sit down poker run boat with 1075's was brought in by the Merritt brothers.

46 Rough Rider with big power parked next to Phil Lipshultz's Gladiator with 700's and NXT's. Phil usually makes it back up north for our summer poker run. Those Florida folks were freezing.

The front of the Patriyacht looking at boats at the second stop. The Bitter End at Anchor Point Ohio. You can see how blustery the weather was. We had to run into the wind after this. Yahoo! I don't have many moving pictures because I was busy driving and Donna has to hold Kirby.

The Merritt's also brought this huge Fountain sport cruiser. 50 something ft. and 3 480 hp diesels and surface drives. It throws an 8 ft. high rooster at 65 mph. Joe Zunk's new to him Outer Limits Legacy w/1200's also in the picture.

Thanks for the pics, Ian. Now I know what I missed. :(
I was registered for the run and greatly disappointed we could not make the last leg of the trip to get there. We were on an island in Lake Erie ( Put in Bay, OH ) 32 miles to the east of Monroe and with the 15 - 20 knot westerly winds and 6 ft seas, made a decision early Saturday morning not to make the crossing. That was tough as we knew it would be OK at the western end of the lake if we could get there. We will look forward to joining the LEOPA group at some other time in the future. :)
Glad to hear it was a great run and everyone had a blast. We did OK consoling ourselves at PIB. :)

Yes, Sunday afternoon!

It's a great place if it's hopping!!! Doesn't look like a lot of boats. Generally it's backed and one can barely get in or out.

We will be there this upcoming weekend for IslandFest. Sorry we missed the chance at meeting Bob and the rest of you.

It was kinda quiet which as you mentioned isn't the "norm" but there was some activity just many boating constantly going in & out....we were only there for about 2hrs.. Met up w/Bob & pals prior to them having to head back to Canada.

We stopped by B Dock before our ride back across the lake and my shoes were still there after 4 hrs! Unbelievable. So I am no longer shoeless. LOL

A couple of guys had trouble with sucked up mud at the last stop due to the strong west wind blowing all of the water out. Nothing serious. One guy broke a Bravo bad. It took out the bellhousing and ruined both 5 blade props when it fell down and hung by the steering rams. Ouch $$$. Funny Bob's shoes were still there. But who would want to touch someone elses ratty shoes anyway.:ack2: Another nice boat btw Bob.
