Great weekend for the Catalina Ski Race. Weather was awesome and there was a big field. Todd Haig won again (unbeat able?) with a time of 50.19 min(from what I heard). I'll post some of my own photos here when I get them downloaded, but theres a ton of pics at this link (to keep you going for now).

For you guys who aren't in on the joke... The Catalina Ski race is a 62 mile run from Long Beach to Catalina and back across open ocean with a waterskier (or two!) on the back. So that means that Haig average 83 mph on a ski across the Pacific Ocean to pull down a 50 min race.

Damn dude! :sifone:

That dude is a machine!!! His body covers more offshore racing than most offshore race boats do! Ouch...

He once won a staring contest with the sun... He doesn't get wet, water gets "Todd Haig"... :sifone:

Hey Jimbo, how you been? Saw you at the finish, but didn't get to say hi. I was out with Elwood in his formula. Last time I saw you I nearly ran you off PCH just before the warm water channel bridge (black F250). :reddevil:

Strange people those west coast types. Did one of the boats have a door in the hull??

Herbst's Hallett had a door in the hull. Don't know if it was the same boat as in the video (missed that somehow), but I've seen it.
