Minnesota has the most boats per capita.
Hawaii has the least.

Speaking of E-Dock, I'm planning on going to Royal Purple next weekend if anyone wants to go down.

Also the next weekend is a run at LOTO that I would like to go to if anyone is interested. Nice run close to home with plenty of different bars.

I read it on the internet. Maybe Michigan became second or third when so many people sold Michigan boats in the last few years?

Most of the time, Ive seen the "Thumbs Up" from the GRDA Lake Patrol here. They know that the drivers and owners of these particular boats are well within their capacity to handle the machine and traffic. With that being said, it does NOT mean no one has ever been in trouble, lol.:seeya::ack2:

Theres speed limits in a few small parts of the lake due to the close quarters of the docks and traffic (duck creek) and of course at night theres a speed limit.

We have 46,500 acres of water, and 1300 miles of shoreline. There is no day time speed limit, the authorities are pretty understanding, and we have a 90Db noise limit from 9pm to 9am.

No doubt you guys have some impressive hardware out there, maybe even the best collection. I'm pretty sure Barnegat Bay here in NJ would give you some competition or even Great South Bay in Long Island.

BUT, the main question I have is; how's the economy out there? Is it better than everywhere else???? Cost of living really cheap?? What is it? What do ya'll do for a living?

maybe I should move there...although I'd miss the swells.

Theres a few things to do on Grand but unless youre a local, you'll never be able to find it.. Its nothin like LOTO where you have a bar/restaurant on every point and cove. In the past 3 years, its expanded with a few new places and some old ones being redone. Come up for the poker Run in August and check it out. I love LOTO though!

What is Grand like? Is it lined with houses & bars like LOTO?

I think I know what you're asking.

Yes, it's lined with waterfront homes, and has some great bars/restaurants/yacht clubs all over it. Loto & Grand "look" similar, since they aren't core lakes & allow private docks & waterfront homes, and both are longer than they are wide. Loto is more narrow though. I'd call Grand a smaller version of loto as far as population. It doesn't have big cities like St Louis/KC/Little Rock/etc, feeding it, so there's not as much in the way of outlet malls, fast food, and other national businesses, like at loto.

You've gotta know where to go and when, similar to loto as far as nightlife. Some nights are hot at one spot, and the next night may be somewhere different. It's a great time, and blows away ANY of the other lakes that do not allow private waterfront property or docks. I'd recommend coming for our poker run later in the Summer if you want to check it out! :cheers2:
