now how much horsepower does it take to do this?
Or did the guy at the engine shop say was the torque 85lbs or 185lbs that is the question

I don't know that much about those tractor engines, but I've seen a bit of the hardware. They use the stock straight 6 diesel engine block, put a different head on it and burn alcohol and gas. They probably put out horsepower and torque at several multiples of stock. Not surprising to see one broken in half.

My parents neibhor ran a prostock tractor for the past 8 or so years before finally selling it. You wanna talk about some sick HP and torque and the fact that you have to own a bank to afford to run them. All for less than one minute of fun once a week at the county fair.
