I need a office phone system that can handle up to (4) lines and has intercom to call from one handset to another and music on hold. Just looking for something simple. Plug and play. Any advice? I am looking at the Packet8 6753iIP but do not know if this is going to do eveything I want it to. Thanks, Dave

The Norstar (Northern Telecom) is the toughest small business system that I have seen. Will do everything you listed. I've had one in service since 1989 with only one equipment failure, the voice mail hard drive took a dump. Packet 8 is a decent service and has decent handsets. I don't know off the top of my head if they can provide music on hold.

The norstar is great, the packet eight will wire into copmputer line there is a in and a out, no new wiring , they have music on hold etc they are ip so there is a delay, you could always go with a avia witch is all modular call me if you have questions 716-866-3468 i can tell your to get the stuff
