This followed me home this evening. It's an all original 1985 Mini Hawk with a same vintage 25HP Mercury. It needs some oxidation remover and a few new trailer rollers, but its in great shape. I got it up to 25mph via the pitot speedo on the seatrial. We've got a creek that opens to a river 300 yards from the house, and this is perfect for such.

Get this:
When I get to the guy's house, he has a picklefork jetboat and a strangely familiar Cougar tucked neatly in the garage. We shot the chit for a while and it turns out it is THIS Cougar:

He bought it from the guy in the video & his brother who did the "production".

That would work. I saw one in a mag with a 135 on it. I have a 50 merc on my 10' and it gets boring if there's no waves.

Are you serious? 135???? Holy crap!

I'd actually love to find a 50HP Jet Outboard for it. Does anyone know if an older one can be converted with a new lower/foot?

There were old Mercs out west with jets on. I think you are gonna pay at least a grand for the conversion though. They were over $2000 from Merc from what I recall. Probably cheaper to search nationwide Craigs list and find a complete one. Does the boat take a short or long shaft?

I am not sure if I would go that way. Jet drives are so inefficacy. You would need more than 50HP to make it fun. Now that 110 might breath some life into it!!

Some pics from the Memorial Day W/E debut attached.

I lifted it off the trailer and re-designed the whole bunk setup on the trailer as well as replaced the rollers.
-Made two new side combing panels from scratch.
-Picked up new prop and fuel tank.
-Roughly 10 passes via buffer and hand with compound, Leverage Oxidation Remover, 3M, and Leverage Polish.
