He was almost right. I think that in the 41 years since.... some folks would willingly adopt socialism. Just not the producers.

Actually have a neighbor who told me yesterday he would rather we were socialist because then everything would be taken care of. :ack2:

Somewhere along the lines they stopped teaching that the government doesn't produce a thing, it just takes it from those who do and redistributes it.

Looks like they have been since February. Maybe they aren't finding the answer they are looking for? I am not one to say this is true or not, I received it in an e-mail. We all know those are the Gospel :sifone:

But on the subject of Snopes. Aren't they a bit biased? Not as bad as Wikipedia but still noticeably left of center.

Heavily left of center over there at the old Snopes. They tend to find false anything bad about Dems even if the quote is off by a few words. But of course, if it's an evil Republican, you get a "True" or a "May be true" because they did not actually see George W Bush on the night he was supposed to have dined with Satan and Saddam Hussein in Hell.
