I don't remember what happened, but here was a wreck in OK a couple of years ago.

Just came across these...it was for sale awhile on OSO

This boat was Jim Darr's at one time, then sold, and the seller was trying to get 195k for it for a long period of time.. then the price dropped around 135k with a blown motor if i remember reading correctly, have no clue if it ever sold before the electrical issue..

Not sure how much a helicopter cost, but I am betting it was worth many many more dollars than that bow rider they were trying to tow! WTF were they thinking?
