Every time I try to do a task, I click the internet and check a website. Just not focusing. Would turn off the computer but I'm afraid I'll miss something.
Then again, now that I typed this, I'll probably get to work and not even see your responses.

Times like these are a great time to make a random donation to little old retired nuns. Ask me how. :D

it's called ADD. Lived with it all my life. When it becomes a crisis you'll devote some time to it. :-)

I don't feel like working either.
So... I figured that I might as well raise some money for the nuns. :)

But what I am actually doing is searching for my Team G intakes, so I can tell the Cam Master what intakes that I have. :D

I think that I have either 7623, or 7522 Weiand Team G intakes with rectangular port and regular deck height... with large single plane dominator.

I just seem really tired today. I shouldn't either. Since I'm working from home I got to sleep in until about 8:20 and stumble down the hall way to make sure I'm signed in by 8:30.

Tony left sometime around 7 am this morning. Makes me feel bad for feeling tired...

I've been up since 9am completing my last take home exam. I must say, in 4 years I have written the same essays over and over again! If you wanna know about sustainable living, climate change, green roofs, air/water pollution, homelessness, transportation, the Canadian economy, or anything else that has to do with human geography, I'M YOUR MAN!

On that note, only 1385 more words to go! YE BOI! 8 days till summer!

You will use it to make products that spy on the rest of us from space. Who are you kidding? Google Earth MFrs. :boxing_smiley:

I have a B.A. in English Language and Literature, with honors.
My honors project was in poetry.

I have only used it to write rap for an offshore forum. :)

Oh yeah.... and for jobs. :D

Alright Mr. English, here is my question. Why is it that in the English language we use the "in" for somethings and "on" for others. Like you are on an airplane, on a bus, but in a car and in a helicopter? I've been debating this all day.

fund razor
04-06-2009, 05:37 PM
situational prepositionisms, hmmm.

Ok... we mostly say "on" when it's a public group thing: "on a tour" "on a bus" "on a plane" "on an escaltor" "on a wagon" because I think in the old days, anything with a group element was not an enclosure. Like on horse. I suppose that there was "in a carriage" But you were still "on a train." On a boat. You are physically "on" the thing. Like, standing on it.

You are in a car and in a helicopter because you are enclosed.
In a house, in a room, in a garage, in a bilge.

The difference is in the subject's position relative to the object.

left the house today, got as far as the driveway. went back inside and went back to bed.
my honey and I spent the day bike riding by the river and having a great meal out on the deck of our favorite on the water restaurant.

Hmm, interesting. I was looking at some of my older essays from first year, and I remember being worried about what to write for 1500 words. I just wrote 3k words for 2 essay questions off the top of my head. Things have come a loooong way!
