Actually all he did was commute their sentences. It gets them out of jail ASAP, but they're still technically "guilty" of their crimes.

It's great for the guys and their families to be free, but a pretty weak move from a guy that's been strong on protection all this time.

I just tried to call Gary Brugman I got his voice mail he will know any details Gary was also a former border patrol agent who went to Fed prision for doing his job
I am very glad President Bush did this

Since the State Dept had the Mexican on their "protected" list.

He was caught at least 1 or more times AFTERWARDS bringing drugs across the border.

Their case is still pending in the Supreme Court, hopefully the conviction will overturned and these men can return to their jobs.

+1 but instead of retuning to work get a big payday and retire! This is one case I'd be happy for my tax dollars to go towards paying out.
