This is one of the "gun boats" I'll be driving in the new A-Team movie. It has a fully active suspension system on the helm station and seats. Pretty cool tech. I'll post some photos later with fifty cal mounted... :26:

Dude! Sweet!

I have a lot of friends out of work and sitting on their asses because the film indursty had decided to tkae much of this work offshore (assuming you count the great lakes as a freshwater ocean like some members do)...

But shouldn't detract from the discussion on the RIBs. Boats are wicked. I've had an itch to get a small RIB for a while now. Anyone need a 24 Pantera, ha ha ha!

I believe that RIBs are the next stage in performance boating. They have all of the utilitarian assets of Center Consoles with more seaworthiness and better performance. Plus they have big bumpers to aid the hopeless guy who struggles to dock his boat.

I love them.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.........

Frankly some of today's most vaunted graphics and hull designs look like sh!t to me..........

Especially the "pops".

I haven't been excited about a paint job on these boats for years. I actually thought it was refreshing to see that all white Outer Limits that came out of the factory before they ruined it with graphics again.

The graphics are just vinyl over a semi-gloss pearl white. It looks great in person!

They were delivering one down here and got a flat tire from the barnacles on the sea wall. Real Boat drivers do not need training wheels.

sorry for the high jack.... But filming in Vancouver is nothing new. Vancouver is second only to LA in film productions in North America. It is not always because it is cheaper, but because we have excellent production facilities, are in the same time zone as the LA studios, have great crews, and amazing scenery. Just in the last few years we have shot 2012, The day the earth stood still, Night at the museum, underworld, X-men, Fantastic four, twilight, I robot, etc... Sorry, now back to RIBs..

Had a client do that with his dinghy.....13 ft one and he ripped a chamber on a barnacle encrusted piling at low tide...

My next boat is either going to be a Formula SS or a CC/RIB. I think they look awesome!
