I've got a Guest 2620 onboard charger that is not working, i've checked the fuses with a voltmeter and input to the charger but there is no output.

Can you do anything with them or are they junk if they don't work?

Does it buzz?

No noise or anything. It has indicator lights on top they don't light up either showing the state of charge on the batteries.

Probably not much you can do. If the case comes apart you might see a burned connection but usually they pot all the parts to protect them from moisture.

The entire back is potted. I might dig around and see if i can get it apart, we have some potting material at work so i can reseal it after i'm done.

Thanks for the help, i figured it was done.

They have a rebuild program that is reasonable. Sent mine in over last winter when it died.

Not sure on a Guest battery charger, but some charges need to see battery voltage before they will charge.

It has "state of charge" indicator lights that show 100%, maybe i'll throw a weak battery on there and give it a try. Thanks for the suggestions.

Reddog382, what's their websight or # to call for info?

Sorry, I was wrong (I'm 1800 miles away from my boat). It was a Charles Marine C-5000 charger listing for $1000, they rebuilt it with warranty for $225.

Is your battery fully charged? Charger will not put out if battery appears to be full.

How old is the unit?

I put a load on it and it still didn't work.

It's a late 90's early 2000, not sure excatly it came with the boat.

Oh well looks like a new one will be ordered.
