Triple 280 outboards that run 146 mph? That seems about 25-30 mph faster than any other cat with the same power.Well whatever speed it was running, the Cheetah made all the other boats look slow. And looking at the boat behind it struggling in the swells, the Cheetah seemed to just kiss the surface as it ran flat in that water.

I finally see what Steve has been talking about all these years with his boats. I would love to see a race between the 36 Cheetah and the 38 DW, power for power.

Do you have a hull to race Stock Outboard class? AMTs and Doug Wrights pretty much dominate that class now.

It's still hard to believe a 36' triple outboard boat can run 145+. Maybe you should patent that running surface.

I am working on some new stuff now. With the latest material we have access too nowadays some very cool Boats can be built. Without giving to much away I worked hard at keeping the bottom dry as possible and the boat out of the way of the water flow. I did it honourably and did not copy anyone.

Part of the logic came from working on so many broke Cats in the old days: I would see an inch of Giboon Plywood blasted away so You have a few options 1. the obvious make it stronger. 2. Change the dead rise/shape. 3.Move the boat hull out of the way. I chose 3

Are you in Europe? Perhaps you meant 146 KPH (90 mph). There is no way that boat is running 146 miles per hour in that video. I have a hard time understanding how any 36' outboard boat can run 146 mph (234 kph). I have owned eight different multi engine cats including a triple 280 30' cat. When APBA used to have a triple outboard class the kilo record was about 115 mph.

running in the Kuwait race it has a pair of my mule well used test 2.5 engines on it .Now the boat close to the camera is a Cobra Cat Maybe you would be More knowledgeable with one of those? It has a “good” pair of 2.5 engines on it they are Much much better than mine! Check it out Funny isn’t it??

Now to make your little covert insult Plausible that boat running behind the M-11 was Victory M-7 a very fast 130+ Mph Boat from what I heard now according to you my boat should be running back with the 118 Mph Boats just coming off the ocean leg Like M-8 and M-59 When the Cheetahcat was going back outside..

Cat Look I understand your point BUT the obvious comes into play Here I Did not edit THE videos and put a Cheetahcat in front!!!!!! who was leading the race btw?? Like the Kuwait races (4 in a row) it’s my fault WE show up with a hand built precision mold less race boat!! Too a race????

Bradz had some triple that according to him did not run well. Now if it were I it would have got burned.. As for the speed I got daily feed back and updates on that boat it ran 144 when they first ran a triple setup then I got a call from Rashid Hamilis Uncle saying he just ran 146 with it and he was ecstatic.. LOL 118 would Maybe get you last place in the M Class races there.

I am still having a hard time with your claim of 146 mph. How about telling us what size props and gear ratio and RPM you are running. The biggest props made and tallest gears and running on the rev limiter of 8250 won't get you to 146. I know what 146 looks like and in that video in rough water you may have been in front but not even close to 146.

I can believe a twin will run 90 I have done it myself. A triple is not that much faster than a twin in top speed, but has a lot more acceleration. Skater make a really fast hull but not even close to 146 with outboards.

Dude I did not rig that tripple setup(it left my shop as a twin) that was done in Abu Dhabi By Hamili's group I only offered my input when it was needed, The Props they had Rolla doing them basic math will give even you an idea of the pitch!! the Engines were done by Doug Lewis for a while..

Aaahh let’s see the water speed flowing past the gear case should be a Friggin clue right ??TRY working out the pad dead rise and dihedral Remember that boat had to run like right off the trailer in Key West we were pushing it right to the last minute..!

It just Pisses me off I was working full time at PP doing tooling/composite work and critical repairs THEN working most of the night in my shop on my Boat which had a Bottom that was based on engineering calculations MINE and not a copy of the much copied work of the late great James Beard we see everyday.

Dude missed my point: Did you design and build those? (nice looking boats btw)As for Proof Aaaahh I guess what I have is videos and my customer feed back! NOW should I call them liars?? Or be pumped as well? Personally I think the thing is flying but that is just me..
Those 11-meter boats are a touchy spot for me as they made some rule changes (UIM) after the WC in 94, which effectively banned that boat (length) in “S” Class and made a rule more favourable to another builder at a 10 meter limit which is the Model 8 . Which was why they ran it as a triple M boat..

Dude good but I did it the hard way I had a solid building system sat down and came up with a fresh new design, Found a customer while doing a seminar on composite boat building.
Busted my butt building it working to 2-3 in the morning then to my full time job and back again to my shop for the night shift !!! My project well it went to the Keys and won the WC Like first time wet then to the Middle east where it was dominate for 2 years then the UIM title there.

Now please Apply the Stupidity filter here and think for a second!!!!!!! This boat was designed to run with like NO power GOT IT ?? The Cat could run into the 90’s with 200’s had a good tunnel good balance I even tapered the mass when I built it. So NOW if you more than double the power guess what? I find my feed back and the accompanying videos right on. BTW I got the outstanding Designer of the year Award also 10 years to the day after Linder got his For that Cat.

NOW you showed me some things you BOUGHT!! BUT WHAT THE HELL have YOU designed and built?? see you sit there and try to belittle me when you have done FRIGGIN nothing as I see it! BTW That was built in 1991 I can do MUCH better now.
