:sifone:

I think, according to Doc, it was the other way around. Doc said he had no idea as he did no work on the boat at all.

Could be .ya know brian was part of lake x projects along with the early work in st cloud .
who knows what grooming he got there.

the boat is already fast why the cheating ?
I really never have understood that.
If you cheat you really did not win .where is the honor in that? a clear plastic trophy?A lie ?
I don't get it.

The boat may be really fast, that is debatable. You would have to believe, as many times as they have been caught outside the rules, no one knows how fast it would be if in a completely legal setup.

It's not like the motors are torn down after every race to make sure nobody did any combustion chamber work, modified the cam lobe profiles, used fuel additives, modified the head ports, did any work to the intake, etc, etc.

None of those are allowed. None of those things are tested.

In my opinion, they should not be part of the rules if they are not checked.

Off the top of my head, they have been caught with illegal gear ratios, illegal camshafts, illegal lower unit profiles, illegal ECU's, under weight by a lot, and illegal flywheels.

the officials who did the monitering did not know the internal workings of a big block.

they did whistle tests for compression and that's it.
as far as ecu,s they believe what they saw ,and any one could switch them.

enforcement did not exist.

fear of loss of entry fee,s

So how many times can you get caught before you get ban hammered?? Or is there some kind of record for the most times caught they are trying to beat??

Good question.

The other teams in the class don't even consider them in the class, whether they get caught cheating or not.

I guess if you are caught enough, others just kind of ignore you.
