I think it's cool that they are allowing Vee Hulls to race at a lighter weight with more horsepower. I'm doubtful it will do any good.
My rule book says 12,000 for cats and 10,000 for Vee's though.

I DONT KNOW IF YOU CAN GET A DECENT 40 FOUNTAIN AND KEEP IT ON THE PAD THRU THE STRAIGHTS ITS POSSIBLE.

its a mannerfelt bottom stretched with hawaiin surf cats on each side .
it just lays too low , theres no real pad to jump up on .
the older fountains were like mark spates bottoms .if you got on the pad away we went lol

Makes you kind of wonder if a 10,000 lb 42 or 47 Fountain with 1350's would do well in the class against a 12,000 lb cat with 1100's.
Might be pretty even.....
