Check out the new toy Nordic has in its stable. The former 40-foot Eliminator has found a new home and a future thanks to outboard power.

That is interesting.

The tunnel is so narrow, and the two hulls so wide, I think you may be able to put two 400's on each side and not have anything intruding into the tunnel.

really good job

The other thing I notice, the two hulls are so flat it must really pound in rough water. I hope I get a chance to test one, or read a test on one, in some normal Pacific Ocean rough water. I've never seen a bottom design like that. Not in any offshore cat ever.

If I remember the test article...It weighs 7 tons...

That sounds about right for a boat that size without a vacuum bagged layup.

I do not know their lamination schedule though. So maybe the weight is elsewhere?

I should qualify that. That weight would be with power, ready to run.

I loved the original one that came out...But a few years old it was still $600k.

For some reason I can only look at 3 pics before boattrader locks up...

Weight with twin diesels 17,500 lbs.

I got them to load, but it took time.

That is one odd boat.

Not in the story. :)

I have to believe when they pull off the 400's and put on 350's, 5"s deeper in the water, it will be a really slow boat. That is a lot of additional drag.

Already a slow boat. :)
