With almost endless choices, you need only ask yourself what kind of game you want to play, https://www.offshoreonly.com/articles/poker-runs/what-do-you-want-from-a-poker-run.

Now that's a tough question.

Number one should be safety, including a zero tolerance rule for alcohol when boating.

We have lost too many people due to boating under the influence in events surrounding a major poker run, even if not during the run itself.

I am all for safety but, to your point of zero tolerance. Let's dig a little deeper. Is the issue dui, lack of training, over powered boats, or simply lack of experience?

I've heard it said the most dangerous skiier is the intermediate level skier. Because they ski just well enough to be courageous.

It seems like every death is related to drinking during poker run weeks.....

Are we allowed to talk about that now?
(I don't mean here, I mean AT ALL.)

You may be right.

Maybe I should say alleged impairment from alleged drinking???
