The offshore racing bug definitely has bitten Kenney Mungle and Michael Lee Lockwood of the Gone Again team, https://speedonthewater.com/in-the-news/racing/4025-gone-again-to-compete-in-key-west

I guess it has some clauses and the people who want the park deal don't want the boat race. This year the setup is a mess I've heard.

Hopefully they are wrong and there is no way they can afford to throw away millions of dollars in boating revenue to make more room for homeless people.......

Remember, the southernmost property, and the piers, in Ft Zachary Taylor Park are owned and maintained by the Navy.

The Keys Overnight Temporary Shelter (KOTS) looks like its about to be relocated to Stock Island.

Free housing in Ft Taylor? I suspect that would invite more to the area. Big homeless crowd in Austin. I'm sure they would be more comfortable with cool ocean breeze on the waterfront.

From everything I've heard, the pit area is gonna be a bit of a mess this year.
