Today in Detroit we lost Clint Wright, throttleman of the Steady Pumpin SVL race boat team.
Clint and Jimmy ran what was probably their best race of the season, but after the race was over, Clint left the boat. He seemed to be hot and then went down. There were trained medics there within a minute, performing CPR and then paramedics came and also assisted. Unfortunately, even though he left in the ambulance with a weak pulse, he did not make it.
Clint was only 43 years old and all of the SVL guys respected him immensely. He was also good friends with the Lilly family and the Tug It team. He was Jimmy's best friend. Jimmy said they were high fiving each other on the way into the wet pits after the race because they were both pumped with how well they had ran.
May he rest in peace, he will be missed. Prayers to his family and friends.
