Illinois Basketball is going to be a powerhouse in the next two years, the recruiting is incredible...and that was a mostly Freshman team out there yesterday.

My loyalties in order are:

1 - Oregon Ducks
2 - Pac 12
3 - Michigan State
4 - The Underdog almost always (This year looks to be Wichita State again)

So, those Arizona Wildcats sure looked good last night. They'd crush Illinois!!

Ratickle

I wonder if Brooks noticed that Connie's Nebraska Huskers knocked off those overrated Wisconsin cheesehead dudes????

Ratickle

Pissed at the committee though. They put three Pac 12 teams in the south and none in the east. They always try to make sure a team from the west cannot win the east so they have a team from the east in the east championship. That's BS and I hope the Big 10 wins the east because at least they split the first four Big 10 teams into the four separate regions like they are supposed to.

Out of more than 11.57 million brackets entered in ESPN's Tournament Challenge, one bracket emerged from the round of 64 of the NCAA tournament with a perfect 32-0 record. This is the first time there was a perfect first round in ESPN's Tournament Challenge since at least 2010 (we're still trying to find out exactly the last time it happened, but it's been a number of years).

There were six perfect brackets heading into the final game of the night between the Dayton Flyers and Providence Friars. The No. 11-seeded Flyers' upset win reduced the perfect field to one.

And then there were none.

In the 35th game of the NCAA tournament, the final perfect bracket fell.

A 26-year-old sign language interpreter from Cleveland picked his favorite team -- Ohio State -- to beat Arizona. The Wildcats bested the Buckeyes 73-58 Saturday night.

On Friday night, the man who became the sole ESPN.com entrant with a perfect bracket through the round of 64 was checking his phone from a salsa club, reloading the final scoreboards to make sure he still had every game correct.

By day's end, Malachi, who asked to keep his last name anonymous out of privacy concerns, had the only one out of 11.57 million brackets with every team still in green.

Picking Kansas to beat Kentucky in the Elite Eight is one regret for Malachi, who had the only perfect bracket out of 11.57 million after the second round.

So what type of basketball savant is this guy? How much research and number crunching did he do?

"Nothing," he said Saturday, after his first two picks of the day, UCLA and Kentucky, advanced. "I actually haven't watched a full game this entire year."

Malachi got much further than anyone got last year, as no entry on any of the major websites survived the round of 64.

He said his brother called him Thursday morning to remind him that he only had 15 minutes to fill out a bracket. He filled out two.

"I knew I had to have some upsets, but I can't really give you specific reasons as to why I chose certain teams over others," he said.

In the Midwest and the East, Malachi chose all the favorites to win, with the exception of Dayton.

Ratickle
04-10-2015, 09:00 AM
The first came with 3:14 left and Wisconsin trailing 61-58. Justise Winslow went baseline on a defender, stepped on the line a few feet away from the ref before dishing to Jahlil Okafor for an “and-1″ opportunity. It was a huge momentum-shifting play. One that stretched the lead to five points.

A little later, Several replays showed the ball going off the tip of Winslow’s finger. But it wasn’t enough to convince officials.

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green believes the officials should be looking for a new line of work after Monday.

K still hasn't apologized for lying and trying to make an Oregon player out to be a liar. And he only apologized for saying that to the player after CBS played the tape they had of him saying what he said he hadn't.

What an ass. Trying to make a collage player out to be a liar for something you really did say. Sure glad that CBS had the tape of him saying what was reported by the Oregon player.

The Big 12 earned seven bids and has three teams (Kansas, Texas Tech and Kansas State) still alive to go with an 11-4 tournament record (.733).
The ACC tied its own record with nine bids and has two left (Duke and FSU) to go with a 12-7 record (.632).

Damn, I sure get sick of crappy ass referees blowing calls that cost teams games. Only a complete idiot, or somebody with an agenda, would miss an obvious double dribble right in front of them. Even the heavyweight champ was calling the double dribble when it happened.

That's as obvious a blown call that cost Auburn a chance to play for a championship as the idiot referee that cost the Saints the chance to play in the Super Bowl.

Idiots:mad::cuss::smash::banghead:

Ratickle

And, the refs do it again.

Overturn a call, with no "Indisputable Evidence", and possibly changed the outcome of the game. Hell, after 15 replays the announcers couldn't decide, but the refs changed it anyway.

Is everybody getting ready for March Madness?

BetMGM users can win $10 million by predicting the perfect bracket for March Madness. The free-to-play contest is available in the mobile app to complete their entries. If no one guesses a perfect bracket, the player that accumulates the most points throughout the tournament will be rewarded with the $100,000 guaranteed prize.

Bet365 is getting in on the free bracket challenge fun this year. Contestants can win up to $10 million plus more cash prizes. The Bet365 Bracket Challenge game is available to new and eligible users. You must be 21 to enter the contest and only one entry is allowed per person. The aforementioned $10,000,000 jackpot prize is for users that correctly pick the perfect bracket, shared between multiple winners. The top 5,000 players on the leaderboard will also see prizes based on points earned for correct picks.

All you need to do is have a perfect bracket in both contests, and you could then buy me a new Skater!
