Eric Cable guilty of negligent homicide

NORTHWOOD, N.H. —A New Hampshire man has been convicted in a 2012 boating accident that led to another man's death.

A Rockingham County jury has found 34-year-old Eric Cable of Hooksett guilty of two counts of negligent homicide.

Prosecutors say Cable was driving a power boat on Northwood Lake when a passenger, 28-year-old Brendan Yerry of Manchester, fell out.

Foster's Daily Democrat says Yerry was either riding on the boat's gunwales or straddling the bow when he fell overboard.

A jury on Thursday convicted Cable of the two counts accusing him of being intoxicated at the time and executing a turn that put the powerboat into the path of another vessel's wake, resulting in Yerry falling overboard and being hit by the boat.
