New Boat Winterizing Unit

I was chatting with my wife about her day at work the other day and she mentioned that one of her customer/friends had come up with a boat winterizing unit that saved a lot of time for a local large marina. Of course I was interested, and got his name to chat with him. Come to find out he worked with some local marinas to develop this unit and it is saving them all kinds of time and money. They are in New Orleans this week displaying the unit, along with some of his other marine stands etc.

Makes me wonder if I can have a once a year job doing boat winterizing for marinas all over west Michigan. :)

Says run engine 30 seconds...thermostat is still closed??
And...thinking thru hull would be a messy situation once antifreeze got to the exhaust outlets.
I see the video says "outdrive" is winterized.
I don't think that the block would be.

30 seconds would only do the drive, correct I think. I'm really curious about using 100% blue marine anti-freeze to start, recirculating until the thermostat opens and that would make it around 50/50 when done (have to check with a degree floater guage deal). Probably take 10 minutes per boat and off you go to the next one.

I think I'll chat with them when they get back from the show about a thru-hull adapter option. That shouldn't be too difficult I don't think.

Tell me again why you all have to do this "winterizing" thing, Bob and I want to know?

Thinking flexible exhaust tube like whats used in garages (crush proof) clamped on each exhaust tip and routed back to the catch pan would be the thru hull adapter(s).

a free 5 gallon bucket and 7 dollars worth of menards fittings plus a chunk of garden hose works too and is $879 cheaper.....

Unfortunately that doesn't work so well when you have a couple hundred boats to do in a marina environment. I'm guessing, from talking to marina guys, you could do four or five boats an hour with this setup vs one or two an hour without.
