I need prayers, crossed fingers, crossed toes, rub the rabbits foot, the four leaf clover, and the last bag of the true mojo... and whatever else you've got.
My wife has been in MN for 5 weeks, and tomorrow she is flying to Cleveland, interviewing for a job that will get her back to PHX.
We NEED this to happen. She's already done 2 phone interviews.
Whatever you guys have for "good luck" would be greatly appreciated.

She's flying home Thursday for the weekend, but if they make an offer, she'll have the truck loaded and be on the road in 10 minutes

Interview is over.
She said it went VERY well!!
Next step is some sort of test over the internet they will be sending her.

The sooner we can get this over, the better!

Thanks for all the well-wishes guys.
I'll keep you all posted.

It actually sounds like she is the only person they are interviewing at this point, and the "test" is a HR formality.

Trust me, we are doing everything we can to keep from moving.

I have a spare room now. It'll be more like a B&B. Unless I put that garage/apartment in over the wash on the South side of the driveway...

Did anybody happen to notice that author/writer Elmore Leonard died?

Noticed that the other day. He wrote the books that the show Justified are based on. That's how I knew of his works.

I've read most of his books, and have seen all of the movies

A few movies

Mr. Majestyk

The Great Moonshine War

Nothing yet Ponch, but the interview was just on Weds. and leading up to a holiday weekend.
I'm not expecting to hear anything until the middle of next week.

I'll be happy if we can get this deal wrapped up within 2 weeks. At least an offer and a scheduled start date.

So, today she has a 3:00 flight back to MN.
About noon, she asks me "do you think if I have a beer they'll still let me on the flight"?
SMH
I asked her if she planned on flying the plane herself...;)

She's a regular flier, and there are bars at the airport...

I don't think I've ever gotten on a plane without two beers in me.
Except when I was skydiving.

The key to drunk flying (passenger) is not to talk....head nods and smiles....the key to drunk piloting is to show up late and refuse to have your coffee X-rayed ..

poncho

I think as long as your not drunk they'll let you fly. Except Southwest Airlines, they smell alcohol and your pretty much grounded.

Even SW serves drinks on the plane.
She should be landing shortly.

They had a show airline featuring SW on A&E and almost every episode they denied boarding on people that smelled like booze. Someone even pointed out they serve it on the plane.

I saw that show.
It wasn't people who smelled like booze, it was people who couldn't control their behavior, and smelled like booze.

I was inebriated while flying to Connecticut a few years back, I was sitting in the emergency exit aisle....the Flight Attendant asked me if I could open the door in case of emergency...I told her I wouldn't even have to use the little red handle...she brought me a Beer before take off :USA:

When I was 19 legal Canadian drinking age, I could drink on the way down to Phoenix on flights Canadian age rules applied, but couldn't on the way back because they enforced US drinking laws.

I can tell this is gonna be one of those "drag it out, then suddenly everything needs to happen immediately" type deals.

Just waiting for the starter pistol to go off...

Situation is:

It's going to be a brand new facility.
Last we know, they were still negotiating a building.
I'm not sure what the target date of "opening" is.
So, in everything corporate, "we have plenty of time, we have plenty of time..."
And then, a week before the target date all hell breaks loose to meet a deadline.
I've seen it too many times.

It's hard for me to comprehend, because in business, I always put out a clear well developed plan that I reviewed and adjusted constantly. Instead of a mad dash at the end to complete a project.
