I've seen some big Tarpon in Florida and Grand Cayman, but holy crap Batman - 198 lbs.....

Any of you guys fish for them down there?

Jimmy Aboud, 18, of team “Outcast” caught a record breaking 198-pound tarpon in the first session of the tournament on Saturday, July 28 fishing out of the the Trinidad and Tobago Yacht Club. The nearly 200-pound monster broke the Trinidad and Tobago record, which was set at 187 pounds in 2007.

It was Aboud’s fifth Trini Tarpon Tournament, and the team released a 120-pounder just before hooking the new record. –Brian McClintock
