Miami Boat Show -- The Cigarette Racing Team (http://www.cigaretteracing.com) came to the Miami Boat Show with the theme, "The Cigarette Difference" to demonstrate its commitment to perfection, performance and quality. Each boat showed Cigarette's extra attention to detail in quality finishes, technology, engineering and style and consumer response and sales were "off the charts" says Skip Braver, President and CEO, in particular, the new 42 Huntress performance center console.

A 5-engine, Mercury Racing (http://www.mercuryracing.com) 350 Huntress was sold and built for the show with a wide range of upgrades, another 4-engine Mercury 300 Verado (http://www.mercmarine.com) model was built as an addition to the Cigarette line. The Huntress answers the need for more space, comfort and luxury with its 42' length and 12' beam and the models shown run 76 mph and 66 mph respectively. "We've shown that you don't have to sacrifice performance for size and amenities," says Braver, "We are expanding the line, not changing our commitment to performance. In today's market, people are willing to pay for the best and that is what we are building--THE BEST quality design and construction--that is The Cigarette Difference."

The Cigarette booth also featured the 39 Top Gun Unlimited, the 39 Open Sport. The 7-year Mercury "Platinum" bumper-to-bumper warranty was also a major incentive for show shoppers as the outboard, performance center console market remains strong.

However, the top-of-the-line in size and power, the 50' Marauder with twin 1350's maintains its place in the market as Phil Lipschutz of Lipship Performance (http://lipship.com), Cigarette's Miami dealer has sold three of the "dragsters" in as many months. "Phil is King of the 50's!" Braver noted, acknowledging the dedication of the long-time dealer who was involved in the modifications of the model to improve the performance and set-up for staggered engines. The boat cruises at 115 and has achieved over 125 MPH.

More dealer news was announced at the show with the merger of Scott Shogren Performance Marine (http://www.teamshogren.com) and David Woods of Pier 57 (http://www.pier57.com). The two dealers have long been top performance experts in their regional markets of Illinois and Tennessee are now jointly operating as Pier 57 see strengthening their commitment to offering the best in sales and service. "We figured it made more sense to work together rather than compete!" laughed David Woods.

The Miami International Boat Show runs through 6 PM, Monday February 20. Cigarette is located at Exhibit Hall A, Booth B-23.
