Old School and Cool
Boat is a 1986 33SE, which is the raised deck model in those days. Twin 370 454's with BW trannies and TRS drives. Was owned for a long time by the brother of the owner of Sonic boats. Boat is in very good condition but not a show boat.

Whoever towed it with a Tahoe, crashed and phucked it up for good should be talked to sternly or beaten within an inch of their life, whichever is legal and ethical. :(
Only a one ton should have touched it.

I'd have no issue pulling it with a 3/4 ton anything. Burb, Pickup, Excursion, etc.

Was a Tahoe really towing it?

Florida to Colorado? I have towed my 10,000lb package with a 1/2 ton (no engines or drives) a 3/4 ton and a 1 ton. The 1 ton wins.
OK, where is the story to go along with this?

According to the new owner, the broker was towing the boat and lost control in Kansas.
I read it on the internet. :)

Got it back on the trailer somehow. I guess you wouldn't have to be too careful at that point. :o

No question. I was heartbroken FOR him. (A little pizzed at what seems on face like an avoidable catastrophe too)

Now I understand why you were asking about DMC's Scarab III:D
Good luck in the (continued) search. There are plenty out there.
Best wishes that everything gets resolved quickly!
