My guess would be none. Also wonder if he's licensed to hold himself out there as a captain?

A governer with sleeves on the tabs or make the guy prove some how he can handle a sport/race boat??

No good will come from this. The guy is probably trying to afford the boat with this making money venture. We all know boats are expensive, insurance is expensive and they need lots of maintenance. No soft sandy bottom or shoreline here.

What do jet ski renters do? They run at full throttle all the time!

What will the renter of this boat do? Kill or be killed! :(

In the short time that this thread has been here, the 800.00 daily rate on the website has become a 130.00 hourly rate for morning or afternoon, and a 110.00 hourly rate for "all-day."

It looks like they are still working things out. Oddly, they don't mention insurance and all those other buzzkill items like minimum age, ID verification and the magic word: deposit.

There was a 29' for rent at the old Blue Lagoon Hotel about ten years ago. Don't know how often they rented it, but it sank at the dock.........twice.:leaving:

It doesn't say what motor is in it! Its may be a single old 454,something that won't to anything too fast

You be suprised how fast a 330 HP engine will push this boat for a clueless operator !

People died at 60 MPH before .

I met the owner when he bought the boat a year or two ago. If memory serves, it has a blue motor in it.

I've never seen a boat builder have a ladder above a drive. And I can't see the trim switches you are referring to ;)

The 29' Fountain Fever has a low-profile exterior, and classic speedboat lines. A functional cabin, and generous lounge space and seating in the cockpit give a good amount of space for entertaining. The boat’s ergonomic helm has thoughtfully laid out gauges and throttles. This high performance boat has a stepped, deep-vee hull design and a superb level of performance.

Throttles , as in plural, as in two of them.

That being said (someone should just call him) Fountain does for some strange reason occasionally hang a ladder over the outdrive......

Now that is just stupid :willy_nilly: I'm betting most 29's have twins and they dont want to bother moving the ladder.

I guess you can step on the prop to get to the ladder :smash:

I see what you are saying, but the whole unit ( CONTROLS ) are also called Throttles. Not just the 1 shift lever that actually works the throttle !

But hey, what do i know ! Your right and i have peace.

Some of you guys must have some serious azz forensic photo capabilities. I can't see chit for throttle, throttles, throtti, throttae, Drosselklappe, Drosselklappen.

I say it is a single. Why? A 29 foot fountain is only a 26 foot boat and doesn't really need twins. :D

I think that rental fountains should have the beaks removed for safety. Maybe something more rounded like the first scissors that kids get. :)

I have seen the boat in person and it is only a single. To me, one clue you can get from the pics, without seeing throttles and tab switches, is the amount of freeboard. Concur?

MOBILEMERCMAN

Yep, WITH Twins it would be squatting with the rail at the swim platform touching the water.

I'd be pissed if my ladder was right on top of my drive. Even if turned all the way to one side or the other, the drive would always be in the way.
