Mikey, this is exactly what that Fountain needs. Easy tuneable, simple hp. You'll have plenty of hatch clearance with this setup, with no intercoolers. A friend of mine in Fla. did this exact setup on a mid 90's 35, had 502's with mercury 575 s/c hyd roller cams, and a lil work done to the steel heads. CMI erxhaust with no mufflers. We ran that boat well into the mid-upperr 90's everytime we took it out. Ran on 93.
Talk to Dave about this, he'll be back at the shop on wed.

He wont have it Frank. He wants nothing to do with blowers of any kind!

Mike, I have a pair of these blowers sitting right now just waiting to go on my motors, you can always bolt one on your motors on dyno day and see how you like the numbers! :drool5:

Thanks for the head's-up Frankie, but like Joe said, no blowers for me. Michelle doesn't even want to go 85, much less 95!

Heather was the same way. At first she didn't like to run over 70, but after a while she got comfortable and loves the speeds now (in the right conditions). As I started to look at new boats recently and showed her a few, her exact words were "I don't want to go slower".
I could not see going back to blower motors though unless I had the right drive to put them in front of. Too many broken bravos in the past.

Among other broken parts. I have some pics floating around somewhere of a certain boat being towed behind a certain 28' Nordic

That wasn't the only boat it was towed behind. :banghead:

That's too bad. Joe, I hope you're gonna put dual carbs on top those things. Those single carb set-ups tend to have the corner cylinders always run lean for some reason. Dual carbs eliminates that problem. Food for thought. :seeya:

You dont have to go 95...thats why they put throttles in your boat, not just an ON-OFF switch like another fellow boater that I know...LOL

Mike, we also have a pair of bigger blowers with intercoolers you can try out too, if you wanted to join the 100mph club. :sifone:

Mikey, isnt it correct that the original package that was on your boat prior to your purchase was similar to this one already? I thought you were telling me it originally was 100-110 mph at one time. I know Lil D's Scarab was the same, I believe over 800 HP a side at one time I was told.

Mine ran 106 with the previous power...somewhere in the 800-850 hp range, I believe.

Mike, did it have the stock hatches when it had the blower motors? Are the bottoms of your hatches cut into?

Yes, stock hatches. No, mine have not been modified.

Hmm. Interesting. My stock hatches needed to be modified, even to fit the small blowers. They prob woulda fit without mods only using a flat based 2" high flame arrestor.

Anyhow, 106 in the red rocket sounds like good times....although I don't think even FUN Michelle would go for it.

Us Fountain guys stick together.

I lost the more recent pictures of your blowers when my pc crashed. The porn sites get me at least a couple times a year.

Joe, you're right. You can use a 250 S/C without doing any mods to the hatch, as long as you use a 2" low profile flame arrestor.
