I have on of those as a tender off my Sea Ray.

Bought it with the idea to let my 12yr girl and 13 yr old step son play with it and learn "basic boating" around the lake now that they passed there boaters safety course.

Bad idea, the sucker is fast and very intense to run.. no way will I be turning the kids lose on that!

For sale if anyone is interested..

Mine has a 30hp and runs 40 plus with me on board. I think 42mph is the best I seen but I'm going to do a couple changes next summer to the set up and try and get more.

For racing I think 1100cc is the open class, make as much HP as you want just keep the engine at 1100cc

I really enjoy running her on a summer day. They handle much bigger water than one would think, get great fuel economy and you cant stop with out people asking "how fast is it"

Sparkys girls were all over the place in that thing. What about putting a throttle stop on it for the kids. I enjoyed it, but not my bag. Come see us this summer. Bob

Steve keeps offering me a ride in his Thundercat (The Super Secret Clown Project) but I lack the BALLS to go 55 or 60 in a 13' inflatable. Not that we would have to go that fast but we all know the saying "It's all fun and games till someone is Swimming"

It's a strange feeling running something that fast sitting on your ass sideways. Scared me a little when I first took it out.

That's something simple I never really thought about, Thanks!

I'll be down this summer with my cat for a week so Spark can help me finish the set up and final rigging.

We have a good following in the UK as well - I raced one at a demo event at a P1 race in Portugal a few years back - they corner pretty much flat out in flat water and are easy to jump - great fun boats!
