something I thought was fun to watch. When they are doing the interview in the race shop you will see the skater that is my avitar in the back.

I remembered reading an article in Powerboat on the Catalina race. Looked it up in issue Sept 03. The winner that year was Martie Wells in 1:01:42

i'm going to have to agree....looks like fun but i couldnt do it....
Im curious, they didnt mention how long the ride was there and back....I wonder how long it takes?
The race is 62 miles round trip, and I believe the record still stands at just under 51 minutes.
Pretty nuts.

My buddy's 18 year old daughter is doing it this year. When out and trained with Lori Dunsmore a few months ago. Talk about a badass on a ski... Lori's got it going on.
The polar bear run has got to be coming up within the next few weeks too right?

Or how about a couple years ago when the turn boat was in the wrong place (and a little fog) made some of the boats run through the spectator crowd...

It's not easy to navigate out there...let alone racing other boats and towing a skier...lol.
