I think there have only been 11 built and there are 6 on this thread. I'm sure you guys can find the rest. What about the blue/white one that was in KW in Nov 07? That might be my favorite one.

That's 9 of 11 and I believe the only 600sci powered F4...No, that is boat number 1. You are correct that it was the only 600 boat. It was almost the only 525 boat until me, Mentalpause, and "The Captain" decided one night that if for no other reason, an engine compartment that big needed the bulk of blower motors. 700's were not relased yet when the power had to be ordered for the boat or it too would have most likley been a 700 boat (if for no other reason the NXT drives).

I beleive BMax drives were also going to be installed. Mental or Kyle from HillTop would know for sure.

Nothing has been decided for sure. Looking at the Whipple upgrade to 700's and BMax drives. We're trying to get it out west in time for Desert Storm. :biggrinjester:

Bmax's are a waste of time.......I know of two different owners that busted Bmax's like they were wooden toothpicks........ Boats were 38-43 ft and right in the same weight category as the F4.

Boats were 38-43 ft and right in the same weight category as the F4.Well, the new owner will have to go with something other than the XR's if he decides to go with 700HP +. Those XR's are time bombs even at 600 HP in a boat that big and heavy. The factory shucked one of the drives while doing prop testing before delivery to MP. Whether you are talking BMax, Imco, Max Machine, Teague, etc. for every story of someone having no luck with them you'll find a story of someone having great success with them.

yeah I guess with 1500 HP the #6's are not worth much either..... :sifone:

But with a 38/750's the Bmax drives last weeks and on a 43 with 650's they lasted about a month........

I would love to hear any success stories of you have any............:lurk5:

The right way to do F4-1 is NXT's just like the factory did. Don't reinvent the wheel just use what is already proven or just leave it alone.

But being that it is already a Bravo boat, a Bravo bolt-on drive is the most cost effective way to upgrade if the HP stays reasonable. 700's/NXT's were not available when MP had to spec power/drives for F4-1 or it too would of been an NXT boat. The driver can make all the difference between a success story and a horror story with almost any drive.

Agreed 100% driver makes the biggest difference! Its amazing how many people don't know how to properly throttle a boat!
