Ocean Dragon - Pantera 41' 2nd Place today

Race update: Martin Lai and the Ocean Dragon Team took today 2nd place overall in the new Pantera 41' in the Cowes 100 race in England. The only team that beat them was Fabio Buzzi with twice the HP and double the engines in a 46'. Another longer distance race tomorrow ( Cowes-Torquay-Cowes ).

I was not in the 41' today but as long as our name is on the side of it it is just as important to my family and I. Alot of hard work went into building this new 41' model.Need to get one racing in the U.S. now.

One of the things I love about the new 41 is that it is being built as an open cockpit boat. I don't know anything of the rules in this class, but while I watch so many builders bringing out canopied boats to the race...
It just loses the feel for me. It becomes really impersonal.
Seeing guys bouncing around in the boat while pushing it to it's limit is what this is all about to me.
I guess that's why I always liked the old F-1 and F-2 classes (back in the APBA days), and the fact that racing seemed like an attainable dream.
Also have always liked the P-classes.

2011 Cowes Torquay Cowes second place overall, only some 8 seconds behind the winner! 1st in class. Another great result it has to be said.
