Less than three weeks away now!
Things are getting really exciting in Michigan City. Huge buzz after last year and the folks in M.C. are really getting worked up. Can't wait to get you all here.
I'm trying to shore up plans for the parade and the big block party we're planning, so I'd love to hear from any racers out there who plan to take part in both events. Both will be awesome, especially with a lot of boats.
So let me know if you don't mind.
Thanks,
j.

I'm happy to hear that people interested in being a support/volunteer boat, are responding to the SBI office.
We will need patrol/medical/turn and pace boats
I have some of your forms from last year, HOWEVER........we will need updated paperwork and I will be in registration friday and saturday, 10 to 3 to sign everyone up and give you the flags.
Reminder......you must have a working VHF radio as a support boat, to stay in touch with race control.
See you next week.........

Thank you guys for helping make this event so great.
See you all this weekend!
Feel free at any time to come by the info booth at any time to say hey or look for me on the golf cart running my a$$ off.
I'll be the fat black haired guy riding around with the super hot, tall, leggy red head. Yes, indeed I married up!

Very few people realize how hard you work at this event and a lesser number could do it. Believe me, I know what your "months" are like leading up to this weekend.
SBI puts on the race but every other event that happens during race week has to be done with your local people and not every race site we do has as many things to entertain the spectators.
Your wife also gets credit for supporting you and helping to get it all done.
Thank you for your patience when all of us are needing you at the same time.
See you on thursday

Does anyone know what the boat count will be yet? We will be there sometime Saturday and I hope we make it to see the boat parade we missed it last year. Good luck to all the races.

It's always hard to predict a boat count because some register early (sometimes) and most wait until they get to the site to register. The number of races depends on the boat count......

I don't know Michigan City that well and wanted to know where can I park to see the boat parade? I see it says it takes place down Franklen Street, but what part of Franklen? I just went ti SBI site and printed out the even schedule. I do know we will go to the lighthouse outlet mall Saturday so maybe I could leave the truck there and walk bepending how far away the parade would be from there.

The outlet mall is about 2 blocks west of Franklin. You should be able to walk about 5 blocks and see the parade. 2 east and a couple south.

Looking forward to the races. Jason thanks for all your hard work, especially with the Port Authority loosening the reigns so we could get slips and for the raft off spot. Stop
down on the docks for a cold one!!!!!!

You guys are all awesome.
Love you Pat!
The parade is on Franklin beginning at 10th Street and going all the way to the library at 4th, where the boats will turn left and head back to the 7th street and Washington area for the block party. We need to make this parade and party HUGE!!
If you park at Lighthouse Place the parade is just a couple blocks away. And the block party starts at 7th and Wabash which is at one of the entrances to the outlet mall.
I want to meet all you guys so look for me on the golf cart. Fat guy with black hair driving around with a red-headed wife who is WAY TO HOT for my big butt. :)
Thanks everyone. See you this weekend.
