Dont over catalyze gelcoat, and dont mix too much at once. This is as far as I got on the first coat , before it kicked, and ruined my gun. Good thing it was a $15 harbor freight special, went and got a new one this morning for another try:rolleyes:

Hopefully Artie, Steve, or Dave will get on here and know the right mixture ratios for your application.

RTFM:

Read
The
Freakin'
Manual

On the other hand, I've done it more than once myself....

It also makes the gel coat more brittle when it cures. Patience and persistence.

The guy at fiberglass coatings said that the bilge is what it is for, I agree wet on wet would have been better, but its hard to stand in wet gel:rolleyes:

Cap it with what? It has been this way for 30 years, and nobody sees it, if I glassed it in, and had to remove the tank, I would have to cut the glass, plus the front 3/4 of it is under the floor, no way to cap it. I was going to tear it all out, and redo/extend the cockpit, but the warm weather is here, that will have to wait until next year, I am going to put the deck back on, rerig, and go boating:sifone::cheers2:

Saturday morning about 9:30 Kay took me to get a haircut.Sunday I went to Publix with Kay about 2pm. Sorry I missed you. I'm bored out of my mind! I think your company probably made some of the screws and plates they put in my foot. See pic.

It is very possible, but if we did, they were made either in Jacksonville, or Indiana, we only make the dental suff here in West Palm, I see you got a few staples too, WTF did you do?? I'll try to stop up this weekend, I am sure I'll have to go to Home Depot for something.

Tore the tendons that hold my arch up. Also had a bunch of arthritius in most of the joints. The screws and plates are saying in my foot. Just the staples are coming out.
