I think that is fake. I believe an F-1 car could do it but not anything as heavy as that.

Cool vid though.:cheers2:

I doubt that car produces nearly enough downforce to pull that off but it is a very cool video!!!!!

Nice to see them incorporate a lot of the original Gullwings into this car.

Not doubting you (well, maybe a little), but you got anything to back that up. I mean, I just assumed it was a fake, but I would love to know that it was real...

I thought that car might grow on me, but it still hasn't. (Not that it matters much to MB....it isn't as if I could afford one.)

I like the front end, and the gull wings are of course cool, but the back end of that car is just plain ugly. Looks like a Buick Reatta. :ack2:

I work for MB - spoke to my rep this morning and he says it's 100% real .....

A friend of mine actually is a higher person at Mercedes in Germany and has to do a lot with specialty things, i talked to him about it and he told me that its real.....if it would of been fake , he would of told me as well.
they actually used the stuntman from some James Bond movies...cool !!!

I can't imagine what would of happened if he would missed those ramps .

I cant believe that a vehicle that weighs over two tons that in a +1G cornering load does not leave tire tracks on the walls and ceiling of an old tunnel.

Just because a car company says it is so doesn't make it true. At least in Toyota's case:cheers2:

Nope - not buying it - just watched it again. No offense, but I think your friend may have *ahem* exaggerated.

I thought it was just not photographed well nope.....it is ugly in person too!

I like the previous SLR hardtop much better. The convertible isn't good looking top or down.

Masher the Z8 is classy and will be a timeless automobile forever. Z8 should be a bit more affordable to maintain compared to an SLR as well.

The Z8's/ SLR's got way too into the silver with red interiors. Red is too pimp like for me, cheapens the look of the car.
