To help get through this recession Brunswick has phased-out Maxum, Sea Pro, Sea Boss, Palmetto and Laguna. Brunswick still has 16 brands in the U.S.

Brunswick will weather the storm but alot of its employees will not!!!

Reading between the lines here, it is obvious with their brand types now they are not a fan of or banking on the future of performance boat building?

why bother when they sell the engines that go in 99% of them! They also have seen many boat companies fail in the performance market (Fountain, Baja being bigger ones) so they know it is a tough business model.
