My OSO money ran out in Oct. no attempt made to keep me. They must not want people on you know who's list.

If anything...

Perfect example of more money than sense. They bought up Club Lexus and that site is just as slow as OSO. Better have a beer handy to chug on while waiting for pages to load.

I'm quickly learning to switch my web site initials. :seeya:

We're two weeks into being open to the public- and this is just phase 1.

To begin with, this is a more cleanly run board. Like OSO used to be. This board is now and will be into the future "tool-free". It's day-to-day operations and strategic direction are controlled by a group of members and everything is done in the interests of the membership. Something not working right? Something could be better? It can change easily and quickly? Have a question or a problem? You can plan on getting an instant, honest, straighforward answer. This isn't a business- it's a family.

Phase 2- we're working diligently on assembling a content management system. This is, for lack of a better description, an on-line magazine. it will have constantly-updated content on a large number of topics, delivered by some of the bigger names in the business. We'll have in-depth stuff on racing, poker runs, tech, boat buying- you name it. And we'll continue to develop and expand it.

Those are the differnces we set out to have in the site when we came up with the idea- I think we're off to a good start.

Chris
11-17-2008, 11:21 PM
Oh, yeah. It's there when you hit the URL. That wasn't hard to accomplish. We could have put the site on a shared rental server that cost $50 a month to host it- and you'd get what you're seeing elsewhere. But we did it the right way.

You are right. I hope that no one is being a d ick about OSO. It leaves a bad reflection in the mirror. It's a simple choice, which website do you want to spend your time on? I prefer here, but still visit over there. I'm certainly not going to burn the bridge and badmouth OSO, Sunkin could throw in the towel any day now if people keep acting like they're in elementary school!!
