Have a 1999 EZ Go electric cart. The forward/reverse lever has gotten so stiff it almost takes both hands to move it. It is a simple setup, the lever is connected to the switch with a pushrod. The lever end is free, the problem seems to be the switch itself. My friend's is the same way but not as bad.Is this common? Is there a simple fix?

Do you mean the switch at S2? Should be easily disassembled and serviced. I remember they use to get gunked up and we just had to pull the shaft and clean/grease it. At least the earlier ones were like that. I may have some parts for that assembly, contacts and stuff, I'll take a look. Contacts also get out of plane with each other and need to be leveled/cleaned as well.

I only had to use one tool in my Alabama toolbox, the WD-40. Did not need the other tools,i.e.,duct tape,Swiss Army knife,Vise-grips,chain saw,or the case of Bud Lite.An easy repair.:cheers2:

:D . . . . one of my many talents. Use to work for Club Car back in high school and we also serviced all the other brands. Tell ya the truth the elec E-Z-Go is one of the best carts made. Very simple and durable. One of my yard carts topped out in the mid 70 mph range
