Im looking for a good online camera/photography site to buy a giftcard for my mom. Any suggestions that do not include Cord Camera?

Adorama and B&H are two of my favorites. They are both large, established firms with plenty of inventory and competitive pricing.

I would listen to this guy. When it comes to photography, his pictures speak for themselves.

Has anyone had warranty experience with the above? If so, how was it handled?

Just bought from B&H Photo. Always the most reasonable prices with huge inventory.

Have to agree with Adorama. Just bought a tv from them $200 cheaper than anyone else on the web or in the stores.

Bought a Nikon for my daughter. 2 months later her numbskull girlfriend dropped it and broke the lens. J&R sent me a new one and an apology for the problem.

Thanks, I'm trying to decide between the Canon T1i and XSi and where to get it. Locally so far has had nothing close to internet prices. I don't mind paying an extra 10%, but over that bugs me.....

That's good to know. I try to keep locals in business as much as possible though.

Like I said, all they gotta do is be within 10% of on line and my business is all theirs.

not sure about Michigan but here if you order from out of state you also dodge state sales tax and that is 8.5% so on a 1000 buck that is $85.00 so i am like you i like to support local but bottom line Bestbuy is not local and most of the stores that will have this aren't eather.

:iagree: I always try to make purchases at local stores. Too bad Mom and Pop stores are being hit hard by sprawl-mart and other big box chains.
