thats the grab handle/trim/radio controls, most MTI rigged race boats get those.

Mine too. Speed Racer is definitely my favorite MTI. http://smiliesftw.com/x/cool.gif (http://smiliesftw.com)
ya, it will get the speedy graphics next week along with the mach 5 M on the deck
Very nice. :USA:
It is a 39' correct? Did you need to do any structural repairs due to it's racing history?
What did you repaint with?

NICE.
The Mach 5 "M" is the best part. Even if you didn't do the full design (which I definitely WOULD), you'd have to at least do the "M" on the deck.http://smiliesftw.com/x/bowcool_1.gif (http://smiliesftw.com)

Killer can't wait to see the numbers.
Hows your coming out :driving:
first round was good, added some prop and spacer, numbers were better, going to up the prop and maybe somemore spacers, then the weather went to crap, boat is all done with the exception of the graphics, trailer is being redone now and we will head to FL on Feb 11, probalby will not be 100% dialed in unless the temps get back up in the 40, but we will come to FL and do some testing after the boat show and before the poker run

post 73 pics don't enlarge (can't see center cap too well in smaller pics)
525s? For rigging?
its a carbon fiber cap that has the mach 5 buttons on it like the original car had, just some small touches

525s? For rigging?
yep, 525s, that what it had in it when it raced, and since its my first cat if figured i would take baby steps, plus it kept the insurance resonable

I'm sorry- I was getting my threads mixed up and was thinking of the new power in the Typhoon Speed Racer and was thinking the 525's were in there for some sort of rigging mock up or some thing.

I think that was the open top Speed, not Randy's???
Chris
02-22-2010, 12:52 PM
Yes- Big Speed has brand new Potter's in it and they're still messing with the tune. Randy's boat is Little Speed. Has 525's in it. Big Speed is a 44 open pleasure boat. Little Speed is an ex- Cat Light boat with a 4-person canopy setup.
I'm waiting on photos- supposed to be some "additions" up front ;)

I had the opportunity to ride with Randy from Hawk's Cay back to Holiday Isle.
Being in a canopy Cat vs. an open Vee is akin to the difference between a Bi-Plane and the Space Shuttle. It's a totally different level of boating experience.
Thank you very much for the ride Randy. I think Clark has something new on his horizon after we chatted about that ride.
