After feeling somewhat unfulfilled with the blowing up of the MTI during the initial part of the Key West Poker Run...

I have been gnawing at my office chairs since coming back...

I am SERIOUSLY considering trying to do the run in the second half of January to Hawks Cay that the crew at FPC is organizing with the Dinghy.

Looks like a couple fun people were there last year from the FPC Pictures namely Randy / Wild here, Jules & Richard to name a few, plus Hawk's Cay is a great spot we just came back from a week there on the "Mut" so more than likely I will go do this one...

Also looks like The Babe,

ma lovely wife might come on this one for the first time at a Poker Run actually the first time running in the dinghy! Now that the boys are somewhat old enough to do without both of us for a few days...

The Dinghy;

should be ready to go by then for another try...

We still plan on doing the Miami Boat Show Poker Run in Feb also...

So anyone else considering doing this???

So are you saying the 1 inch spacer works w/ the stock X or does it compliment the "tweaked" hull.
149 is a huge number to run in the shootout with stock 850's.
Just trying to get some ideas before the money is spent on a second set of props.
Goal is to have a smaller set for rough water / boat full of people and a taller set for some of the faster poker runs and top and when GL is around :driving:Here you go Chris...

We did that run last year and had a blast. I'm leaving the boat up here in the cold this winter but might tag along with some of my A.T. brothern for the boat show run.

We did the Winter Rally the past two years and had a GREAT time...took Wild both years. The run is very laid back, 20-30 boats, mostly couples. Several ran to Key West and back on Saturday. The resort is very nice, just renovated and has restaurants and everything else on the property so you don't need to leave. Swim with the dolphins, guided PWC trips were also a big hit. Pool is nice...great winter getaway.

.Went low on oil pressure and connecting rod let go on the back cylinder...

Too bad had done a run up to 140 mph a minute or too before looked like we could be in the 150's from RPM reading and so forth, we'll see at Christmas when we bring it back down to FL for testing in prep for this run...

from the top, when they took it apart yesterday...

That's how it usually works they say, the best run is just before she blows!!! Trip sounds great GLH, great number btw at the 140 with those motors!!!! Or did you bump from the 850's?

Looks like most of the cylinder wall is OK from that picture. Could have been a whole lot worse. Will you have to sleeve it?

.Sleeving two, have to get a new cam... I guess the rod bent it!!!! some minor fix on the block and the crank is at the fixer right now, minor head work new Iconel exhaust valves and so forth.... an expensive hour...next time we will double check the azzwipe who puts the set screw on the dry sump oil pulley!!!

Oh forgot have to fix the pan also I think, looks like it got hit by the "Mut"'s welcome stick;http://www.remington.com/images/products/firearms/shotgun/smsil_870xcs.jpg

Ahh... the real reason comes to light. So did you loose all oiling? Everything else surviving is a testament to the quality of the build.

The smallest details count. And I think I am a worrier when I check, recheck and check again on my assembly and rigging.
