They have a 300HP V8 4 stroke but she's 804LBs. If they have some thing slimmer there goes all that loot they just dumped in this V8 platform

The 350 is going toe eventually be a 400 .... but they gotta move all the 350s that are on the shelves and hangin off the backs of all the boats first .

The old 300 was based on the 5.3 liter V-8 weighing 800 lbs the new 300 is a 4.2 liter V-6 weighing about 550 lbs

Both of the four stroke F300 and the F350 were based off the 5.3 liter V-8

So from the sounds of it they are scrapping the V8 all together?
Love to see some graphs on the new 300's
Both of the four stroke F300 and the F350 were based off the 5.3 liter V-8
I don't think they did an F300 .... just the 350 .

350HP @ 5500RPM = 334TQ
300HP @ 5500RPM = 286TQ
"The F300 is for boats with transoms that are limited to 300 or 600 horsepower," said Phil Dyskow, Yamaha Marine Group President. "We know there are boats that need a lot of thrust, but not all the horsepower of an F350."
The F300 differs from the F350 in several key ways. It is designed to operate efficiently using 87 octane gasoline rather than 89 octane. The F300’s fuel and ignition maps are designed to optimize power using lower octane gasoline. Therefore, the new outboard uses an engine control module specified exclusively for the F300.

$18,500 for the 300
$20,100 for the 350
My 2 cents would be why would anyone want a 300 when you can get a 350! :driving:
