Target Black Friday HDTV deal:Westinghouse 32-inch LCD for $246 (http://blogs.zdnet.com/home-theater/?p=1909)

I am looking to buy a cheap HDTV. I think I found one!

More Black Friday deals are trickling onto the Web, and while we still don’t have info on Best Buy’s yet, Target’s have leaked, and include a very enticing HDTV deal. You’ll be able (if you’re an early bird) to snare a Westinghouse 32-inch LCD for just $246.

While Westinghouse isn’t a top-tier vendor, it’s more well-known than the manufacturer of Target’s other TV deal: an Apex 40-inch 1080p LCD for $449. And don’t expect top specs from the Westinghouse set, which is 720p and offers just 60Hz refresh rates. Still, it does come with a pair of HDMI ports, and, well, it’s only $246! Like Wal-mart offered last weekend during its pre-Black Friday one-day special, Target will also have a Sony Blu-ray player available for $149.99, though it also adds a $20 gift card.

Speaking of Wal-mart, its warehouse chain Sam’s Club is offering a JVC Blu-ray player for $129 on Black Friday. Hopefully, Wal-mart’s actual Black Friday deals will be more exciting than the ones at Sam’s Club, but we’ll still need to wait a bit longer until its ad finds its way onto the Internet.

Have you ever gone shopping of Black Friday......I was talked into it 5-6 years ago. I had NO IDEA what it was like, and won't be going back if 50 in Sony TV's are free!!! Over 1 hour lines at Best Buy and Walmart.......at 5:30 AM!!!

I bought a TV just about like that 2 or 3 years ago for $599 or $699
For what I use it for I have been real happy

ALOT of Black Friday deals get offered online too...
I don't ever think of hitting the stores at 5am, but I do watch for online stuff when it's available

I had one of these for 3 years- just crapped out on me about a month ago. Good "value"- even better at this price!

I replaced it with a 32 Sony Bravia- some what better TV but paid for it as well. $452

I'd have bought this one in a minute! I'm working the holiday at 3.5 times regular pay so standing it line wouldn't be on my time..

You wouldn't catch me sale shopping unless it's online. Don't like crowds.

A Sprawl-Mart employee was trampled to death last year for a Door Buster Black Friday deal.

Not a chance in hell I'll go to one of those.

I have seen Best Buy's black friday ad. The deals are more on computer stuff than TV's. Everyone is going to have some cheap 32" as a loss leader this season, but they won't be around for long. There is a global shortage of 32" panels right now. LG and Samsung are only going to fill 30 - 40% of allocations until end of life for the product. (spring)

If you want a 32" set in the next 90 - 120 days, buy one now!
